Few days back, I wondered can death be celebrated , seems my narrow mindness was not acceptable by fate, and it came out of the way to correct me how limited my thinking was!
Few days less than 4 year ago, one night there was attack on Indians via Mumbai. Something was planned, planned well. They were trained, rehearsed in simulated condition and ready for going as per plan and also for extempore.
Ofcource you can’t blame civilians who had ill fate that day or policemen who fought bravely despite having handicap #303 in ammunition both in terms of quality as well as quantity.
The executioner were pawns just following orders till the time, things were going as per plan and then running like unguided ballistic missile once situation went out of their hand. They had planned much worse outcome. At the same time we must praise the braveness of NSG, Mumbai Police some of them fought even after certain of their death. We are indebted to them. We will remain.
Major Sandeep showed courage of highest order and who didn’t think twice in giving supreme sacrifice for country also to his team along with who whom he managed to close the operation. The Martyrs including 6 Ashok Chakra Awardees: Major Sandeep and NSG Commando Gajendra Singh, ASI Tukaram Omble, ATF Chief JCP Hemant Karkare, ACP Ashok Kamte, Senior Inspector Vijay Salaskar, will be all smiling today in heaven.
Though the wound are still fresh and undressed for families of all Martyr of 26/11, atleast they can take deep breath with all content-ness.
But at the same time we should remember we have killed the pawn: only one of many, Then there are bishops, knights, rooks, queen, king and grandmasters all sitting safely on other side of border planning something ever worse.
The delay exposed our Country's policy paralysis, how we avoid taking challenge, how we like to delay things , how we love to hold things, how we feel urge to disturb others if they are working with integrity. We keep our best Idiots to lead us. We feel that’s the way it is, we set peudo standards for Top politician which can only be managed by supermen, pretenders or fakes.
Having said that, we should not also forget the reason which brought smile on face in morning.
We might not have war but a battle is won, Let’s not be cynical, this occasion must be celebrated !
But celebration should not stop us from being realistic tomorrow morning!
